2026 GMC Yukon Denali Features & Highlights

Gas or Diesel Powertrain

Performance-wise, the 2026 GMC Yukon Denali gives you two powertrain choices, depending on how you plan to use your SUV. The standard option is a 6.2L V8 gas engine, which is capable of generating 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. If towing efficiency matters to you, there’s also the available 3.0L Duramax Turbo-Diesel engine that pumps out 305 horsepower and 495 lb-ft of torque.

Adaptive Air Ride Suspension

Standard on the Denali Ultimate trim level and available on the regular Denali, Adaptive Air Ride suspension changes the way the 2026 GMC Yukon feels on the road. Instead of traditional coil springs, it uses a 4-corner air suspension system with variable-rate springs that can adjust on the fly, which helps to smooth out the ride on rough surfaces. You can raise the vehicle for higher ground clearance when needed, or lower it to make getting in and out easier for passengers.

Hands-Free Driver Assistance

Another highly anticipated feature in the 2026 GMC Yukon Denali is Super Cruise. In the right conditions, it lets you drive hands-free while the system takes care of steering, braking, and acceleration. Even changing lanes is made easier thanks to turn-signal-activated lane changes and automatic lane shifting when conditions allow. You must still stay attentive, of course, but the system handles much of the heavy lifting.

Night Vision

Available on the Denali Ultimate, the Night Vision feature uses thermal imaging to help you see what’s ahead when your headlights can’t quite reach it. It can detect pedestrians or large animals on the road and alert you early, which is incredibly useful when driving at night on rural roads around BC where wildlife can appear out of nowhere.

Massaging Seats

At the front of the 2026 GMC Yukon Denali, you get 16-way power-adjustable seats that are both heated and ventilated, so you can dial in your comfort no matter the temperature outside. When you want to relax, just turn on the massage function to take the pressure off. GMC didn’t forget the second row, either; you’ve got heated outboard seats, and on higher configurations, you can even opt for the available Executive Seating. These luxury captain’s chairs are also heated and ventilated, as well as come with their own massage function.

Bose CenterPoint Sound

With the standard Bose CenterPoint sound system, you get rich audio spread throughout the cabin so everyone can enjoy it, regardless of where they’re sitting. Better yet, you can enjoy even more powerful sound with the available stainless-steel Bose head-restraint speakers on the Denali Ultimate. These are part of the Bose Performance Series sound system, which features up to 22 total speakers for a fully immersive experience.
